My experience at Hennepin County so far
I have been at Hennepin County since August of 2023. I started as a graphic design intern and transitioned into a full time Communications Specialist a few months later. I have had a lot of great opportunities here and had the chance to work on some fantastic projects that have broadened my skills.

Elections Graphics
I got to work on a refresh for the Elections Campaign in 2024 alongside my coworker. We wanted to bring in a pop of color that made people excited to vote. I have really enjoyed designing this campaign and seeing it all come together.

Skywalk Display
I had the amazing opportunity to design the new artwork for the skywalk display in the Hennepin County Government Center. This was a great experience for me to learn the process of large format printing, file management, and all the details that go into creating a display. I really enjoyed working on this design that encompasses Hennepin County's values. This display was installed in August of 2024.

Lead Poisoning Prevention Campaign
One of the first projects I did at Hennepin County was design the Lead Poisoning Prevention Campaign refresh. I wanted to create a design that represented the idea of protection and family. This campaign is meant to make people feel empowered that they can do something to protect themselves and their families from lead poisoning.

Volunteer Services Report 2023
Hennepin County values making an impact in the community. This report displays all the hard work our volunteers have put into helping the community in different ways. I enjoyed putting together this layout to highlight the positive influence our people have had in the community.
I wanted this to be a very visual piece that was pleasing to the eye. I played around with photos, icons, and the scaling of numbers to create a hierarchy that makes it easy to see the big impact our volunteers have had.

Zero Waste Energy Challenge- badge stickers
Hennepin County makes great efforts to encourage people to live a lower waste lifestyle. I had the opportunity to create these badge sticker designs to promote this concept. A work book was created to help people focus on different areas in their life and work on being less wasteful in each of them. These badge stickers served as a reward at the end of each focused section of the workbook. I wanted to make these fun and inviting for all and also have an element of playfulness.

Zero
I also created "Zero", this little character who is the mascot of this workbook. Zero wears the badges on a sash and cheers you on as you go about being less wasteful.
